About this artwork
This artwork is a combination of realism and expressionism, where oil becomes a tool for exploring deep emotional intimacy, through subtle but dense and full-bodied brushstrokes, to express one common denominator of the painting: roses. In fact, inspiration came from the Waltz of the Roses by Johann Strauss, son of the Austrian composer of the same name, after a strong involvement from the orange color of a variety of rose, named "Lady of Shalott," whose reverberation stands out toward the center of the painting. The forms merge into an ethereal embrace, and the vibrant colors dance across the wooden panel like vivid feelings, weaving a silent but powerful dialogue between the figures. This art has the ardor to evoke passions and reflections, an energy that enriches and animates the space of those who welcome it.
