About this artwork
The intense, enveloping scent of Barolo wine floats in the sparkling atmosphere of an end of the evening, where the fragrances of the dinner just consumed lull the onset of the last night of the year. The painting, with its articulate and full-bodied pictorial matter, unfolds in the 'impetus of the poured wine that overflows exuberantly from the goblet, reverberating its ruby color with softness and elegance on the apparent stillness of the scene. The woman turns her enigmatic gaze to the viewer before abandoning herself in a deep embrace. In my canvas, oil becomes a harbinger of intense vibrations, a fusion of expressionism and Fauvism with touches of realism and figurativism. Figures emerge from the canvas, telling of passion and raw emotions, mixed with a fiery palette. It is an invitation to contemplate the complexity of human emotions, a work that brings to your home an energy that palpitates with life itself.
