About this artwork
Painting interpreted in vivid but very muted colors to enhance the moment of relaxation of a couple of artists, fresh from the conclusion of a grueling but exciting theatrical performance. A glass of Brunello di Montalcino wine and a cigarette underscore the moment of relaxation they are enjoying. I have transfused life's passions into my canvas, playing with oil to explore human intimacy and the complexity of post-show emotions. With expressionist brushstrokes, figurative realism, I have shaped the feelings that tangle in a dance of warm colors. It is a celebration of the aftermath, a reflection of the soul that remains when the lights go down, a work to infuse your home with energy and conversation.
