About this artwork
“Even the smallest of felines, the cat, is a masterpiece,” a phrase by Leonardo da Vinci from which I drew inspiration to create this work, painted on panel. In his most famous work, Mona Lisa embraces a tender cat.The Mona Lisa is interpreted as a tribute to one of the supreme artist's favorite subjects, as he was also an avid cat lover. I created a dance between acrylics, enamels and inks to redesign the famous figure with a touch of irony and domestic warmth. The cat, a symbol of independence and mystery, merges with the well-known enigma of the subject, inviting the viewer to a reflection on the coexistence of eras and feelings. This work will bring a unique energy to your home, combining history and contemporaneity with a hint of playfulness.
