About this artwork
Grit is made from a combination of foraged Earth minerals from London and pigment made from decommissioned guns from the US. This painting is part of my Soft Fascination Collection. The Soft Fascination Collection is inspired by moments of dappled light; softly, slowly, drifting and changing. They are subtle, delicate imaginings of these moments in time. Each brush stroke delicately brings to life the softness and beauty of these fluid transitions. This collection embraces the need for hope, not mindless but purposeful hope. Painted using handmade watercolour onto natural linen canvas, this artwork is an original painting finished with a UV protective matt varnish and gallery-wrapped, see photos for edging details. It can be hung unframed, if you wish to frame the painting I would suggest a simple wooden tray frame. Signed on the reverse Your painting will be carefully packaged and sent via courier directly from my studio. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

About the artist
Born in 1986 in Milton Keynes, Lisa-Marie Price is a UK-based abstract painter. With a passion for exploring the profound connection between nature, people, and place. Lisa-Marie's methodical style is a reflection of her meticulous nature. Using handmade watercolours from foraged Earth minerals, she creates a visual language that encourages a deep appreciation for the natural world. Unlike many artists who rely on commercially available paints, Lisa-Marie refrains from using shop-bought paint, aligning her artistic process with her philosophy of embracing nature. By foraging pigment from different environments, Lisa-Marie weaves a bond between the materials and her creative process, infusing each stroke with the energy of the natural world. Venturing into urban and rural spaces, she immerses herself in the sights, sounds, and scents of the land. This connection not only informs her art but also serves as a reflection of her admiration for nature's ever-changing beauty. Her abstract paintings evoke a sense of harmony, inviting us to contemplate our own relationship with the environment. Her commitment to using natural pigments exemplifies her dedication to sustainability and her desire to honour the rich heritage of ancient artistic practices. In a world where mass production and consumerism dominate, Lisa-Marie Price's artistic approach serves as a reminder of the importance of authenticity found in nature. Her paintings act as a voice for the environment, reminding us to cherish our connection to the world around us. Represented by Columbia Road Gallery, East London and Art at Home Gallery, Twickenham. Her work has been shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, MK Gallery, D Contemporary Gallery, The Copeland Gallery, The Other Art Fair, Bruce Castle Museum and The Shard, among others.
