With passion I shaped this painting, made on wood panel, in which the oil technique, vibrant with intense emotions, becomes a harbinger of expressionism and realism. Figures and feelings unite in a subliminal embrace through vivid, saturated colors as a hymn to the transcendental technique of American pianist and composer Vladimir Horowitz, to whom the work is dedicated. Called “the king of the keyboard,” he distinguished himself by being able to overcome all technical difficulties with remarkable mastery, bringing together such gifts as musical intuition, refinement and beauty of touch. Each stroke reflects virtuosity and depth of inspiration, bringing to the home environment an energy of contemplation and wonder.

Paola Imposimato, professional painter from Florence, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, has to her credit in Italy and abroad numerous personal, collective and permanent exhibitions in public and private collections. She has created 120 paintings for Historical Reenactments, called “Palio”, in most of the national territory and carried out many years of collaborations with Haute Couture Houses and Publishing Houses. Her artistic production ranges from portraits to Sacred Art, from wall paintings to those on canvas, panel, wood, leather, ceramics and wax. Many awards have been achieved.
