About this artwork
Artwork inspired by the impassive and intriguing portrait and gaze of Alfred Hitchcock (London 1899 - Los Angeles 1980), universally recognized as the greatest thriller creator in film history. He was one of the first to make suspense and fear fascinating, stylishly mixing them with psychological, social, and environmental intrigue, creating an imaginary world with an unmistakable imprint. His films are a kaleidoscope, a treatise of images that have entered the unconscious of generations and become recognizable heritage of humanity. I employed my heart in expressing the depth of a master, playing with shadows and light to capture his intangible essence. My drawing, made in pencil on cardboard, becomes an interpreter of complex emotions, offering a window to the soul. Bringing this work into one's home welcomes a dialogue of looks and thoughts that defy time, an energy capable of inspiring and stimulating the mind every day.
