About this artwork
Santorini is an original still life painting inspired by the quiet light and restrained beauty of the Greek islands. Green and dark olives rest on a pale ceramic plate set against soft blue and white stripes, evoking the calm of a shaded Mediterranean table and the slow rhythm of coastal summer afternoons. The composition balances simplicity and atmosphere, allowing colour, light, and silence to carry the emotional weight of the scene. The work is painted in acrylic and pastel on canvas panel, creating gentle tonal layering, subtle texture, and luminous highlights across the fruit and ceramic surface. A protective varnish enhances depth and preserves the pigments. This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, signed on the back. Dimensions: 40 × 40 cm. A contemplative Mediterranean still life for collectors drawn to light, stillness, and the poetry of everyday objects.
