About this artwork
The Space In Between A quieter sky, held in suspension. The Space In Between moves away from drama and into stillness—where color flattens, light softens, and time feels momentarily paused. Rendered in a calm, uninterrupted blue, the atmosphere becomes less about movement and more about presence. A lone surfer and his dog remain, but here they feel even more distant—anchored within a vast, simplified expanse that invites reflection rather than narrative. Constructed from hand-painted and torn paper, the work carries a subtle tactile quality beneath its minimal surface. Edges, layers, and tonal shifts reveal themselves slowly, rewarding a closer look. This piece sits in the pause between moments—between action and memory, noise and silence. A meditation on space, scale, and the quiet weight of being. Collage on canvas panel. Varnished in sections in different gloss to add depth and effects. Can be framed with or without glass.
