About this artwork
Cherilyn’ is part of the ‘Birds’ series. I have chosen several women, either famous or not, and placed them with birds in front of opulent backgrounds. Inspired by iconic women, it was painted from a known photo. I added a beautiful window to add light. Bold colours and light give the painting a dreamlike feeling. It was painted on 300gsm watercolour paper (49.5cm x 63.5cm) using watercolour, acrylic, pastel and marker. It needs to be matted and framed behind glass.
