About this artwork
Edge of the World is an original figurative painting exploring balance, stillness, and the fragile moment before movement. A solitary swimmer stands poised on the sharp edge of an architectural cliff, suspended between gravity and sky. The restrained palette and quiet spatial tension create a contemplative atmosphere, allowing light, silence, and emotional distance to shape the experience of the image. Painted in acrylic and pastel on stretched canvas, the surface carries layered tonal depth, subtle texture, and expressive painterly variation. A protective varnish enhances the richness of the pigments and preserves the work. This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, signed on the back. Dimensions: 40 × 79 cm (vertical format). A meditative contemporary figurative painting for collectors drawn to solitude, architectural space, and the quiet edge between fear and possibility.
