Luminous Acrylic & pastel on canvas panel 40 × 40 cm A woman floats beneath the surface, eyes closed, suspended in a private world of light and water. Her body is wrapped in rippling reflections—liquid ribbons of white and pale gold that move across skin and fabric alike. The water is vivid, green-blue, alive with motion. Her swimsuit glows in warm amber tones, dotted like constellations, as if light itself has settled on her. This work captures a moment of total inwardness. She is not performing. She is not swimming toward anything. She is simply being—held, weightless, luminous from within. The surface of the painting shimmers with layered pastel and soft acrylic glazes, creating the illusion that the figure is breathing with the water around her. About the artist
Mixed-media artist. Color lover. Storyteller. Born and raised in South Africa and now living in Cyprus, I hold a degree in Fine Art from the University of the Witwatersrand. I paint in acrylic, pastel, watercolor, pencil, and ink. Canvas and wood often feature but paper is my first love. Working primarily from photos, I often manipulate images digitally to create a new composition and then paint. I’ve exhibited in Cyprus, London, and Athens and my collectors live in countries around the world.
