About this artwork
Painting inspired by the Amalfi Coast, whose poignant beauty has always been the lure and refuge of famous showmen, aristocracy and a source of inspiration for many artists, where Swedish actress Greta Garbo and conductor Leopold Stokowski also met secretly to experience their intense feelings (1938). The palpitating atmosphere blazed in vivid colors embraces the light of the sunset reflected on the waves of the Ravello sea. The work I have created is a tumult of emotions captured with passionate brushstrokes and fiery colors, expressed in a particularly articulate and full-bodied pictorial material, in which oil becomes a messenger of expressive force and the warmth of emotions. My canvas is a fusion of expressionism and Fauvism, where the figure emerges with power and balance. Each stroke is designed to evoke deep feeling and to bring a living, vibrant energy into the home environment.
