About this artwork
The work tells of a sense of emptiness unraveling between the arches of the Loggia of the Spedale degli Innocenti in Florence (Filippo Brunelleschi). It unfolds in the foreground in the evanescent balances of a house of cards, which almost imprisons the figure of Michelangelo's David. How ephemeral has often shaped material and spiritual habits of life is stigmatized in the face of the collective consciousness, partially concealed by a section of the house of cards and partially revealed in the eye and the smile that shows itself to us, traversing the deepest “ I” and plumbing new paths. Each oil brushstroke is a fervent emotional rush to explore the nuances of expressionism and surrealism. The figurative composition, framed by metaphysical elements, invites an inner journey, discovering the unconscious. Conveying mystery and introspection, this work will bring to your home an intense energy that will stimulate curiosity and deep contemplation.
