Showtime is a three-piece series created through transfer, watercolor on wood that explores balance, adaptation, and the search for stability within an ever-changing environment. The central figure—a gorilla balancing on a unicycle—acts as an alter ego, embodying the human experience of navigating life while constantly adjusting to avoid falling. The work uses the image of the performer as a metaphor for resilience, movement, and the delicate equilibrium required to find one's place in the spaces we inhabit. Like an artist in a forest of possibilities, the character creates its own stage, establishing points of reference while facing uncertainty and transformation. Through the warmth and organic quality of watercolor on wood, My Forest, My Show combines humor and introspection, inviting viewers to reflect on the personal performances we create, the challenges we balance, and the continuous effort to remain centered amid the complexity of life.

I am a visual artist originally from Mexico City. I have two children and divide my time throughout the year among Barcelona, Philadelphia, and Mexico City. My career as an artist has been characterized by a quest for self-expression and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of my craft. I received my academic training in contemporary art in Munich, Mexico City, and Lyon; over the years, I have participated in various group and solo exhibitions, and I consider my work to be in constant evolution. These experiences have honed my technical skills, and I have deepened my thematic and conceptual understanding, which drive my artistic practice.
