Alien Contact 1 is a three-piece series that imagines a world under constant observation by extraterrestrial beings. Rather than depicting invasion or conflict, the works shift the perspective, inviting viewers to see humanity through the detached and inquisitive gaze of an alien observer. Across the series, a solitary extraterrestrial figure appears in different moments of contemplation, quietly examining human behavior, our relationship with the planet, and the contradictions that define contemporary life. By reversing the traditional roles of observer and observed, the work encourages reflection on the habits and assumptions that shape our civilization. I am a visual artist originally from Mexico City. I have two children and divide my time throughout the year among Barcelona, Philadelphia, and Mexico City. My career as an artist has been characterized by a quest for self-expression and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of my craft. I received my academic training in contemporary art in Munich, Mexico City, and Lyon; over the years, I have participated in various group and solo exhibitions, and I consider my work to be in constant evolution.
