Magdalena Firląg - a visual artist from Poland, currently living and working in Mexico City. Firląg's artistic proposal lies within the realm of formal aspects, incorporating elements such as fragmentation, spatial relationships, and experimentation with various materials. Her nomadic nature and nostalgia have resulted in cultivating tenderness towards distant cultures, syncretism, and the ability to assimilate quickly, both in her daily life and artistic endeavors. She graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, studied at the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, and the School of Visual Art in New York. Additionally, she studied Oriental lacquer painting with Master X. Chieu in Vietnam. In 2019, she earned a master's degree from the Faculty of Arts and Design at UNAM, where she is currently pursuing a doctorate. Firląg has showcased her work in solo and group exhibitions internationally.
