About this artwork
This portrait of a female figure, whose features are multiplied into three sets of eyes, mouths, and noses, destabilizes the notion of a singular face and exposes the fragility of identity under the influence of time. The repetition is not a mere visual effect; it acts as a symptom of altered perception, as if the subject’s image were affected by a temporal glitch. In this pictorial error, time is not linear, but a force of distortion that fragments identity. The work explores how time transforms not only matter but also self-perception. We see ourselves differently as the present unfolds—each overlapping moment generating a new, contradictory, and multiple version. From this perspective, the portrait ceases to be a static representation and becomes a temporal resonance field, where the face fluctuates like a quantum particle, existing in simultaneous states of being.

About the artist

Zoe Lunar radiates and works in Mexico City, is a graduate of the national school of painting, sculpture and engraving "La Esmeralda". He is an artist in constant formation, who seeks plastic, visual and sound experimentation. His work feeds on time as matter and how it helps to interpret reality, through temporal representations, of spaces that converge in their social context and how this influences the formation and interpretation of our different contemporary realities; making use of the qualities of painting and drawing to make deformations in a perceptive portrait of different moments, and personal times in a single interpretation. He is currently nurturing his plastic work especially in painting and drawing, giving him new outlets like AR in some of his new works and occasionally making music and video.
