In A Night of Gloom in the Temporal Wake, the figure of a woman lies on a bed, her body reflected in a duplicity that seems to fragment her existence. Parts of her, such as her hands and torso, multiply in subtle unfoldings, creating the illusion of a body that exists on multiple temporal planes simultaneously. This unfolding suggests a reality in constant flux, where the boundaries of the body and time blur, leaving space for a profound reflection on the nature of identity in time. The title evokes an atmosphere of melancholy, an echo of emotions that arise in the darkest hours. The "temporal wake" mentioned refers to that intangible mark time leaves on reality, a trail that fragments both body and mind. In the artwork, the woman's gaze, deep and multiplied, seems to observe from multiple perspectives, each trapped in its own moment, suspended in a web of possibilities and memories. This loaded gaze highlights the relationship between personal perception of time and the realities that are constructed in its wake. Plastically, the interplay of unfoldings and visual reflections in the face and body creates an atmosphere of disorientation, but also of strange and ethereal beauty. The diffuse, almost dreamlike forms intertwine with the dim light of the scene, suggesting an intermediate space between sleep and wakefulness, between the present and what has been left behind. A Night of Gloom in the Temporal Wake reminds us that time is not a fixed line but a series of layers that cross, divide, and overlap, affecting reality in complex and unexplored ways.
