About this artwork
The last piece from the ‘Let the light in’ series, full of light, rich with softness and gentle marks. Surrendering isn't a sign of weakness when it's a choice you make for your own well-being. For me, surrender means acceptance. Embracing your true self, celebrating the life you crafted. Surrendering to yourself means stopping a battle to fit in, not denying who you are and what you're supposed to accomplish. Instead, embracing and loving what makes you unique and letting it fill you.

About the artist
Vered Brett is an abstract artist living in Cascais, Portugal. Vered’s art explores the depth, complexity and multiple layers of the stories and memories we carry with us throughout life. Her paintings invite the viewer to dive deep into hidden and unknown moments, peel the layers, and embrace self-acceptance and truth. The proximity to the ocean throughout her life is integral to her work and it is reflected in the choice of tools, textures and colours that she borrows from it. She uses water as a main medium to allow free flow of paint, creating soft borderlines and unpredictable marks. Her intuitive process is free from rules and liberating. Vered hopes to inspire viewers to feel fearless, free and vulnerable through her art.
