About this artwork
This is a loose self portrait in what I consider an "80's" pallette. When I was in middle school I thought the girls with the makeup Caboodles were lame, and that makeup was lame and being popular was lame. But in reflection I have realized that I was secretly coveting the caboodles, wishing I knew how to use makeup, and wanting to fit in better. The truth always comes out.

About the artist
I'm an abstract painter and sculptor with a focus on creating work that makes an explorative use of color as a backbone to form and subject matter. I experiment frequently and often switch between mediums chasing an impulse to learn, and become immersed in the process. Time seems to stand still when I'm working and I consider the process itself the art, and the artwork a record of what transpired. When I'm not painting or glazing you'll find me sewing overalls, tinkering with a new recipe for my candy shop, or producing a new electronic tune on my mac. My creative pursuits are the foundation of who I am.
