Hi! I'm Séfora Camazano, a Spanish-Brazilian artist with over 20 years of experience working across photography, painting, graphic design, and videography. While I enjoy experimenting with different mediums, portraiture is where I truly feel at home. There's something powerful about capturing the essence of a person, and I strive to do more than just portray their appearance—I aim to tell their story. My art is deeply influenced by my passion for social justice and human rights. I believe that art can give a voice to those who are often unheard. Many of the people I paint have lived through incredibly difficult experiences, and through my portraits, I hope to share their personal stories with the world. Every portrait comes with a narrative, one that reflects not only the individual but also broader issues like gender violence, inequality, and social exclusion. In my work, I like to blend contemporary techniques with more classical elements, creating pieces that invite people to look beyond the surface. But for me, it’s not just about the visual impact—it’s about creating an emotional connection between the viewer and the person in the portrait. My hope is that when you see one of my pieces, it makes you pause, reflect, and feel something real. Art, to me, is a tool for change. Every piece I create is a statement, a call to action that goes beyond aesthetics. I aim to capture both the fragility and strength of the human spirit, and I want my art to spark conversations and inspire empathy.
