About this artwork
Abstract landscape and cityscape with a perspective that shifts between aerial views and a dense horizon. Bright and bold color, with fluorescent tones mixed in with traditional hues. Clear Day was begun mid-spring of 2015. I was able to complete it in the fall after I reconfigured my studio, and it changed drastically compared to its skeletal beginnings. This piece was created with brushes and silicone spatulas for the striping effects. Acrylic on unstretched canvas with a three inch white border for stretching. Signed, dated, and titled on the back. Clear Day will ship rolled in a heavy-duty protective mailing tube.

About the artist
I'm an abstract painter and sculptor with a focus on creating work that makes an explorative use of color as a backbone to form and subject matter. I experiment frequently and often switch between mediums chasing an impulse to learn, and become immersed in the process. Time seems to stand still when I'm working and I consider the process itself the art, and the artwork a record of what transpired. When I'm not painting or glazing you'll find me sewing overalls, tinkering with a new recipe for my candy shop, or producing a new electronic tune on my mac. My creative pursuits are the foundation of who I am.
