About this artwork
Small scale vertical abstract landscape painting with bright color, glitter, and a tiny cacti. This painting is part of a small series of that incorporates large drips of glitter. I was gifted these small canvasses a while back and I puzzled over how to compose a painting on these very obvious rectangles- and I settled on vertical compositions. The cacti show up frequently in my artwork- I live in Southeast Arizona and saguaro cactuses are kind of a big deal- and I like them.

About the artist
I'm an abstract painter and sculptor with a focus on creating work that makes an explorative use of color as a backbone to form and subject matter. I experiment frequently and often switch between mediums chasing an impulse to learn, and become immersed in the process. Time seems to stand still when I'm working and I consider the process itself the art, and the artwork a record of what transpired. When I'm not painting or glazing you'll find me sewing overalls, tinkering with a new recipe for my candy shop, or producing a new electronic tune on my mac. My creative pursuits are the foundation of who I am.
