An unframed painting of a thistle on *Yupo paper. The painting captures the natural beauty and unique characteristics of this often-overlooked plant, projecting a vivid and dynamic interpretation. When framed, glass is not necessarily because of the paper and mediums. *Yupo paper is a synthetic material, made of 100% polypropylene substrate, featuring a non-porous surface. This distinctive characteristic enables me to explore intriguing combinations of mediums and effects that cannot be achieved on traditional paper or canvas. I utilize a diverse range of materials, including acrylic, alcohol inks, pastels, chalk, spray paints, and an assortment of mixed media elements.
