"A Purpose" is a warm mixed media painting on grey satin fabric that delves into the human pursuit of living a meaningful life and discovering purpose. The artwork tries to capture the nuances of a sunrise’s journey through a composition of abstract forms, in orange, yellow and pink acrylics, oil pastels, and spontaneous pencils’ marks. If having a purpose means having a sense of direction, fulfillment, and significance in life, the Sun acts like a universal symbol of a clear sense of direction. No matter what, it rises and sets every single day, accomplishing its mission. To our human experience, a purpose involves understanding one's unique role or contribution to the world, and feeling a deep connection to something greater than oneself.
