I am interested in how material objects have affect on or control our physical and psychological being. Material Impressions are a series of mixed media drawings in which I allow other materialities to have agency within the mark making process. These drawings are a result of working with and to impressions left in the paper.

In pointing to the liveliness of objects and their constituent parts, I work to shine a light on socio-political, economic, and environmental entanglements of our daily existence.
