In this work, I aimed to capture the raw emotion of surprise and unspoken words through a muted palette and stark expressions. Using tempera has allowed me to blend realism with a touch of the surreal, emphasizing the intensity of human emotions. Artist's commentary
Mask I am interested in masks. Maska as a fragment of architecture, a fountain or as an element of a theatrical or ritual costume. This archetypal image of a human with a certain emotion, creates a simulacrum of a person and replaces the concept of what is hidden under it. This series was created exclusively with tempera on paper . I tried to complete the drawing in one breath to preserve the first emotion for the work.
