In this artwork, I've channeled a blend of realism and primitivism to critique and reflect on the commercialization of identity. Using cool blue tones and stark, simple lines, the piece juxtaposes the intimate nature of a passport photo against the impersonal, commercial framework suggested by the advertisement aesthetic. It invokes reflection on how personal identity is commodified and the implications of being reduced to a product in a consumerist society. This painting will bring a thought-provoking and conversation-starting energy into any space.

Artist's commentary
My journey through photo archives often reveals unexpected images: found objects, ruins, trash, landscapes, or old family photos, saved screenshots. This collection seems almost limitless, but I incorporate some of these images into my artistic practice. Through this method of collecting, selecting, and practicing, I gradually build a visual story of my personal experience, turning random fragments into parts of a larger narrative.
