About this artwork
Kiss of Fire Kiss of Fire represents the alchemical union of masculine and feminine forces — two opposing yet complementary energies meeting, merging, and transforming one another. This encounter is not necessarily between two people. It can take place within ourselves, when the parts we have separated, rejected, or struggled to reconcile finally come into contact. The masculine and feminine meet not to overpower one another, but to create something greater through their union. The fire at the heart of the artwork symbolises the transformative force of this encounter: the heat that dissolves old divisions, challenges inner contradictions, and makes space for a new state of being to emerge. In alchemy, transformation begins when opposites are brought into relationship. What once existed in conflict can become a source of integration, wholeness, and profound inner change. Kiss of Fire captures that pivotal moment when opposing forces meet, ignite, and give birth to something entirely new.

About the artist
About Anika Shamanka Anika Shamanka is a self-taught visionary artist whose work emerges from the depths of the unconscious, spiritual exploration, and the hidden dimensions of human existence. Working at the intersection of dark surrealism, symbolism, and the mystical, she creates original artworks shaped by inner visions, personal transformation, and encounters with the unseen. Her imagery explores duality, shadow, identity, sovereignty, and the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of ordinary perception. With a background in psychology and dance, Anika's artistic expression is inseparable from her exploration of the human psyche, embodied experience, and the transformative power of confronting one's own darkness. Her art is an intuitive process, guided by spontaneous imagery and the symbolic language of the unconscious. Rather than following conventional artistic formulas, she allows each work to emerge organically, giving form to what often remains hidden, unspoken, or beyond rational understanding. For Anika, art is not merely decoration. It is a language of the soul — a meeting point between the visible and invisible worlds, where darkness becomes a source of revelation and transformation. Each piece is an original expression of her inner landscape: raw, symbolic, and deeply personal.
