Umbra Umbra is an exploration of the hidden self — the parts of us that exist beyond the reach of ordinary perception. Emerging from the shadows, it invites the viewer to look beyond appearances and encounter the mystery of what remains unseen. Darkness is not merely an absence of light. It is a realm of transformation, where buried truths, forgotten instincts, and hidden dimensions of the self can begin to reveal themselves. An original artwork by Anika Shamanka, created for those who find beauty in the mysterious, the obscure, and the untamed.

About Anika Shamanka Anika Shamanka is a self-taught visionary artist whose work emerges from the depths of the unconscious, spiritual exploration, and the hidden dimensions of human existence. Working at the intersection of dark surrealism, symbolism, and the mystical, she creates original artworks shaped by inner visions, personal transformation, and encounters with the unseen. Her imagery explores duality, shadow, identity, sovereignty, and the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of ordinary perception. With a background in psychology and dance, Anika's artistic expression is inseparable from her exploration of the human psyche, embodied experience, and the transformative power of confronting one's own darkness. Her art is an intuitive process, guided by spontaneous imagery and the symbolic language of the unconscious. Rather than following conventional artistic formulas, she allows each work to emerge organically, giving form to what often remains hidden, unspoken, or beyond rational understanding. For Anika, art is not merely decoration. It is a language of the soul — a meeting point between the visible and invisible worlds, where darkness becomes a source of revelation and transformation. Each piece is an original expression of her inner landscape: raw, symbolic, and deeply personal.
