About this artwork
Crown of Sovereignty Crown of Sovereignty explores the moment a woman reclaims ownership of herself — her body, her choices, her desires, and her inner authority. The crown represents a sovereignty that cannot be granted or taken away by another. It is not about ruling over others, but about no longer surrendering the power to define yourself. The woman rises toward the crimson sun, an embodiment of vitality, power, and the life force that awakens when we stop living according to someone else's expectations. Her exposed body evokes vulnerability without submission. She is not waiting to be crowned by the world; she is awakening to a power that has always been hers to reclaim. This artwork speaks of liberation from inherited identities, the breaking of invisible chains, and the radical transformation that begins when we become the authority over our own lives. True sovereignty begins within.

About the artist
About Anika Shamanka Anika Shamanka is a self-taught visionary artist whose work emerges from the depths of the unconscious, spiritual exploration, and the hidden dimensions of human existence. Working at the intersection of dark surrealism, symbolism, and the mystical, she creates original artworks shaped by inner visions, personal transformation, and encounters with the unseen. Her imagery explores duality, shadow, identity, sovereignty, and the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of ordinary perception. With a background in psychology and dance, Anika's artistic expression is inseparable from her exploration of the human psyche, embodied experience, and the transformative power of confronting one's own darkness. Her art is an intuitive process, guided by spontaneous imagery and the symbolic language of the unconscious. Rather than following conventional artistic formulas, she allows each work to emerge organically, giving form to what often remains hidden, unspoken, or beyond rational understanding. For Anika, art is not merely decoration. It is a language of the soul — a meeting point between the visible and invisible worlds, where darkness becomes a source of revelation and transformation. Each piece is an original expression of her inner landscape: raw, symbolic, and deeply personal.
