About this artwork
This artwork presents a strikingly bold and evocative composition, drawing the viewer's eye with its raw and unfiltered expression. Created on a tan background, the piece features a series of large, bold circular strokes in a deep, inky black. The artist has applied the black pigment in such a way that it appears to have dripped down the canvas, creating vertical lines that lend a sense of movement and gravity. Amidst these circles, a singular red stroke stands out, bleeding downward in a stark contrast to the surrounding black. This red element, somewhat central and slightly to the right, evokes a visceral response, suggesting themes of passion, anger, or perhaps a wound, adding a layer of emotional depth and intensity to the piece. The deliberate use of dripping pigment gives the painting a dynamic and almost aggressive character. The raw presentation of circles, imperfect and unconstrained, embodies an essence of primal instinct, challenging conventional perceptions of form and structure. The tan background provides a neutral, earthy counterbalance to the vivid black and red, grounding the composition and emphasizing the stark contrasts in color. This artwork is a compelling exploration of abstract form and raw emotion, utilizing a minimalist yet powerful combination of elements to provoke thought and elicit strong reactions. The unique juxtaposition of the controlled circular forms with the chaotic drips highlights the artist's adept ability to blend abstract expression with deliberate design. This piece stands as a testament to the emotional potential of abstract art, drawing viewers into a visceral dialogue with the art itself.

About the artist
I have come to a realization about myself and my art. I am impatient and I have need for instant gratification. I get frustrated with time consuming traditional techniques and want to skip ahead to the end. It is for these reasons that I am a series artist. I like to experiment with new ideas until I am satisfied with the result then I move on to a new one. Sometimes the result can lead the next series. The inspiration for a lot my work is in the trying of the new techniques. Having freedom of expression and not being limited to one style of making art are paramount to my identity as an artist.
