About this artwork
This captivating artwork is a compelling testament to both modern innovation and traditional symbolism. Dominated by two striking cobalt blue forms, the canvas commands attention with its stark contrast against a pristine white background. The two central figures, reminiscent of totemic symbols, are composed of bold, geometric shapes that impart a sense of structure and order. The large, circular elements at the top resemble tribal masks or faces, while the vertical, rectangular extensions could be interpreted as bodies or pillars, grounding the piece. Intriguingly, the artist employs a unique dripping technique, with black paint cascading down from the central forms in uneven streaks. This dripping effect adds an unexpected organic quality to the otherwise highly structured geometric design, creating a dynamic interplay between control and spontaneity. The drops and smears of black paint almost mimic the flow of ink, suggesting a sense of movement and temporality. Additionally, the piece is distinguished by its meticulous layering. The blue shapes overlap and intersect in complex ways, creating a visual rhythm that evokes both harmony and tension. Small, round forms, also in black, punctuate the composition, adding an additional layer of depth and interest. These could be interpreted as eyes, buttons, or simply abstract embellishments, contributing to the enigmatic nature of the work. Overall, this artwork stands out for its bold use of color, precise geometric forms, and evocative use of dripped paint. It offers a rich visual experience that invites viewers to explore its many layers and symbols, making it a striking and memorable piece.

About the artist
I have come to a realization about myself and my art. I am impatient and I have need for instant gratification. I get frustrated with time consuming traditional techniques and want to skip ahead to the end. It is for these reasons that I am a series artist. I like to experiment with new ideas until I am satisfied with the result then I move on to a new one. Sometimes the result can lead the next series. The inspiration for a lot my work is in the trying of the new techniques. Having freedom of expression and not being limited to one style of making art are paramount to my identity as an artist.
