About this artwork
This mesmerizing artwork employs a visually arresting spiral motif that immediately captures and holds the viewer's attention. Dominating the canvas with a powerful vortex, the piece is rendered in a refined palette of deep navy blues and stark whites. The contrasting colors create a bold and dynamic interplay that enhances the depth and movement within the spiral. The artist has meticulously employed a textural technique that involves intricate, layered paint strokes. These strokes add a tactile quality to the piece, inviting viewers to engage with the work on a sensory level. The careful gradation from the dense, concentrated center spiraling outwards to the more diffuse exterior skillfully conveys both motion and stillness, evoking a sense of infinite continuity and depth. What sets this artwork apart is the harmonious balance between chaos and order. The seemingly erratic, jagged lines that compose the spiral are deliberately executed, suggesting a clash between natural forces and human control. This dichotomy challenges the viewer to contemplate the juxtaposition of natural spontaneity against structured design. The centrality of the spiral motif also offers a meditative and almost hypnotic experience. By guiding the eye along its winding path, it allows the viewer to lose themselves within its cyclical nature, promoting introspection and a deeper connection to the underlying themes of perpetual motion and eternal cycles. In its simplicity and complexity, the artwork stands as a testament to the artist's mastery over form, color, and texture, making it an exceptional and thought-provoking piece that resonates on multiple levels.

About the artist
I have come to a realization about myself and my art. I am impatient and I have need for instant gratification. I get frustrated with time consuming traditional techniques and want to skip ahead to the end. It is for these reasons that I am a series artist. I like to experiment with new ideas until I am satisfied with the result then I move on to a new one. Sometimes the result can lead the next series. The inspiration for a lot my work is in the trying of the new techniques. Having freedom of expression and not being limited to one style of making art are paramount to my identity as an artist.
