About this artwork
This captivating artwork is a mesmerizing exploration of texture, color, and cosmic imagery. Dominated by a deep and rich shade of blue as the background, the piece immediately evokes a sense of the infinite expanse of the universe. The central focus is a powerful, almost hypnotic, circular form, skillfully rendered in thick layers of black paint. This bold black circle draws the viewer’s eye, anchoring the composition with its stark contrast to the vibrant backdrop. Surrounding this central form, an explosion of white splatters and streaks bursts outward, reminiscent of a celestial event such as a supernova. These dynamic splashes of white create a dramatic sense of movement and energy, as if recording the moment of an astronomical occurrence frozen in time. The artist’s use of texture is particularly striking, with the raised, tactile quality of the paint adding depth and dimension to the work. The interplay of darkness and light, chaos and order, is expertly balanced in this piece. The white splatters, while seemingly random, are meticulously placed to convey a sense of controlled chaos. This juxtaposition creates a captivating visual tension that is both thought-provoking and aesthetically pleasing. The artwork’s simplicity in form, coupled with its complexity in execution, makes it a standout piece. It invites the viewer to contemplate the mysteries of the cosmos and the forces that shape our universe. This piece is not just a representation but an experience, drawing its audience into a profound and immersive visual journey.

About the artist
I have come to a realization about myself and my art. I am impatient and I have need for instant gratification. I get frustrated with time consuming traditional techniques and want to skip ahead to the end. It is for these reasons that I am a series artist. I like to experiment with new ideas until I am satisfied with the result then I move on to a new one. Sometimes the result can lead the next series. The inspiration for a lot my work is in the trying of the new techniques. Having freedom of expression and not being limited to one style of making art are paramount to my identity as an artist.
