9 x 12 inches. Oil, cold wax, pencil and colored pencil on board with traditional gesso tinted with indigo dye. The painting was inspired by a photo I took when I visited Japan in the seaside town of Ito. These young surfers were out there even though it had rained the night before. Looking at the stillness of the blue-grey sea disappearing into the sky felt as calming as floating on the water. Surfing is life :)
