This large-scale oil painting presents a refined balance between intimacy and distance, capturing a contemplative moment at the water’s edge. Two figures are suspended in quiet dialogue, reflected in the pool as if time itself has slowed. Executed in rich oil paints, the surface reveals confident, expressive brushwork that emphasizes texture, light, and the physical presence of the body. Accents of gold leaf (potal) are intentionally introduced as flowing marks, creating a subtle tension between permanence and fragility.
