Peppercorn’ is my imagining of a ripe stalk of exotic corn that is infused with powerful and flavourful hot peppers. Both spicy foods and fresh corn are a favourite of mine, so why not have that combo grow right on the cob? Hung sideways, it’s an exhale of your breath after taking a bite.😊

Artist's commentary
This work was created by my using drops of acrylic paint on the canvas, then pulling through the drops in lots of curves with toothpicks. At first it looked like a dragon’s furry breath, but as my looking at it went on, began to see a spiceness inside the fire.
Living with this artwork is like
… being energized.
