About this artwork
A striking new addition to the 2024 collection by Lawrence Chappe, this small yet impactful painting embodies the innovative "Brute Pop" style—a unique fusion of brutalism and pop art pioneered by the artist. The focal point is a graceful flamingo, rendered with a single, thick line of fluorescent pink paint that radiates vibrancy and energy against a complementary pink background. The beak and legs are crafted from luxurious Louis Vuitton material, sourced from a vintage garment bag, with additional details throughout the composition adding to the vibe. This piece also features Chappe's signature square eye motif from his 2024 collection, tying it seamlessly into his evolving body of work. A visual feast and a statement piece that blends luxury with an avant-garde approach to art. Whether as a standalone piece or part of a curated collection, this painting is sure to elevate the aesthetic of any space it inhabits.

About the artist
I was Born in Havana Cuba — moved to Miami Florida during mid teens — Served in The US Navy right out of high school — During my 20s I received a formal education in architecture, art, and design — I believe there is a chance the universe is a simulation where nothing has innate meaning, so we get to give everything the meaning we want — I believe that what we observe creates our reality — beauty and ugliness inhabit same exact space at the same exact time. It is only us create the experience by observing.
