About this artwork
A powerful and intricate piece that embodies the fusion of luxury and artistic innovation. Crafted on an upcycled frame, this artwork is a statement on opulence, wisdom, and the beauty of layered expression. The matting has been meticulously replaced with vintage Louis Vuitton material, creating a backdrop that is both elegant and familiar to those who appreciate the brand's iconic aesthetic. At the center of the piece is an imagined tree, composed of two elements: a bold, vibrant flower and a unique tree with a large square eye—a recurring motif in Lawrence Chappe's 2024 collection. The frame and the flower are painted in a striking shade of orange, a subtle homage to Louis Vuitton's signature color palette. This piece explores the concept of layers in art, with the subject drawn on the back of the glass, rather than the surface, challenging traditional perceptions and inviting viewers to look deeper. When illuminated under black light, the fluorescent orange details come to life, glowing with an intensity that contrasts with the typical orange used by Louis Vuitton, further highlighting the unique nature of this creation.

About the artist
I was Born in Havana Cuba — moved to Miami Florida during mid teens — Served in The US Navy right out of high school — During my 20s I received a formal education in architecture, art, and design — I believe there is a chance the universe is a simulation where nothing has innate meaning, so we get to give everything the meaning we want — I believe that what we observe creates our reality — beauty and ugliness inhabit same exact space at the same exact time. It is only us create the experience by observing.
