About this artwork
We Dey Pose For U, Part III" is the final piece in a three-part series inspired by the first artwork, which was created a year ago. The piece continues to showcase the power, beauty, and energy of Black youth. When I began my photographic referential journey earlier in 2024 — using original photographs I had captured in the past. —I set out to express my deep empathy for kids through my art. After nearly 18 artworks later, I saw all i had hoped to capture come alive and felt immense gratitude. This is only the beginning and the future of my Afro-surrealist paintings are truly bright and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.
