Set against a flooded street, 9-5 is a visual reflection on the endless cycle of survival that begins far too early for many. Inspired by photographs I captured, this painting highlights the quiet resilience and daily hardships faced in overlooked communities. It gently questions systems of “progress” that allow struggle to become a norm for the young, long before they are ready.
