The painting titled"Mirador" depicts a child, a symbol of possibility and purity, looking at a giant roaming the city of Caracas. The titanic figure represents the sense of danger and surveillance, a feeling that has become common in Venezuela due to urban violence. Before this vision, the child stands to contemplate the uncertainty of his country's future. Through the visual dichotomy of the boy and the giant, "Mirador" becomes a visual narrative on the possibility of change even when confronting the most perilous of circumstances.
