This particular painting 'Perspective Eye - No. 1' is a first of a series of similar composition paintings with different hues. Looking at this kind of intellectual abstract helps us realise how a colour can be perceived differently in our mind when placed adjacently to different colours or hues. Despite the experimental colour remaining the same, it will look and give a different effect perspectively when placed next to contrasting colours, which will contribute to giving off other hues. Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour, fantasy and the whimsical. Nevertheless, there is a realistic and sober aspect of his work too. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous.
