About this artwork
"Okurimono" is an oil painting on canvas with gold leaf and acrylic paste, cm 100x80. It is second in a series of 5 paintings titled "Japan in Gold". The series is dedicated to Japanese woman. The contrast between gold and urban textured elements in the paintings represent the coexistance of modernity and ancient traditions in Japan. The golden shades are made oggi gold leaf while the urban background is textuted in acrylic paste. Okurimono means gift in Japanese. The painting was displayed with the other ones of the series in a solo exhibition at Consulate of Japan in Milan. Edges are painted and the painting is ready to hang.

About the artist
I am an emerging Italian artist from Milan, born ad Hyperrealistic painter and now evolving into a more personal modern portrait style. In these latest 4 years, I received many awards and just held a solo exhibition at Solis Art Gallery in Brescia, Italy and another one at Consulate of Japan in Milan is live. Recently, one of my paintings was displayed at Casa Sanremo hospitality area during Sanremo Festival. My painting is figurative with oil on canvas tecnique mixed with acrylic paste texture "urban" backgrounds blending with gold leaf details.
