Elena Sagresti is an Italian artist, founder and director of Art Gallery Roma, where she follows her passion for supporting emerging female artists. Born in Milan, Elena began her career as a concept designer in the fashion industry, working in London during the 1980s. In the late 1990s, she enrolled in a Fine Arts program in the south of France, where she developed a deep interest in mixed media and experimental art. Today, she creates primarily abstract paintings, which are showcased in her own gallery in Rome. However, art is not her only passion. Elena’s interest in comedy began in Hong Kong in 2007, during a workshop that inspired her to write and perform her one-woman show Do You Know Who You Are? In 2012, she was a finalist in the Women of Laughter competition in New York City. In 2014, she graduated with honors from the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) in Hong Kong. After years of creative and cultural activity, she now focuses on managing and developing her own art gallery in the heart of Rome, where she continues to dedicate herself to promoting and empowering emerging female artists.
