About this artwork

**Artist’s Statement** "Iconic Stamp" delves into the pervasive influence of cultural icons, exemplified by Tyler, The Creator. This artwork layers fragmented images and diverse materials to suggest that icons like Tyler deserve a symbolic "postage stamp" in our cultural psyche, acknowledging their indelible impact on society. By integrating elements reminiscent of a postage stamp's design, this piece reflects on how icons are stamped onto the fabric of everyday life, shaping thoughts, conversations, and cultural trends. **Message to Collectors** "Iconic Stamp" is a vibrant testament to the power of cultural figures in shaping societal norms and values. Ideal for collectors drawn to art with deep societal commentary, this piece offers a unique perspective on the role of icons in modern culture. It challenges viewers to consider the symbolic significance of granting such figures a "stamp" of approval, highlighting their lasting imprint on our world.

"As I layer, construct and deconstruct; relentlessly cycling through this process, my work is about uncovering and deepening my awareness of past events in my life all the while building strength to endure. I use both digital and analog techniques and methods. Textures are often cut and stitched, propagating recurrent, reformed markings between original works. This work explores the path to strength and often is represented by the construction and deconstruction of fragile elements that “heal” through this process."
