About this artwork
Acrylic on cardboard This piece is from a show called Think It Over. Intimacy: My mother and father were soul mates. After her death in ’78, my father one day confided in me that not a day went by where he didn’t think about her. I chose this image because of their closeness to each other. Everything about it to me exudes familiarity and comfort; her leaning into him, the sweaters, the freshly pressed pants, his pipe….a moment of intimacy captured.
