About this artwork
Fashion & history merge in an imagined profile portrait of Sheba. Created in layers of acrylic paint and oil stick on gesso primed art paper. Framed in white wood with a white bevelled mount and glass glazed. Sheba’s legacy is deeply embedded in Ethiopian, Islamic, and Jewish traditions, representing a powerful, independent, and intelligent leader, often interpreted as an African queen with a significant role in ancient history.
